China will issue a set of coins, starting from Sept 10, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the central bank said.

The set includes two gold, four silver and one copper alloy coins, all legal tender, the People's Bank of China said on its website.

A total of 2,000 large-size gold coins and 60,000 smaller gold coins will be available for purchase, it said.

NASA第五十次航天飞机任务发射成功
NASA launches Space Shuttle Endeavour on STS-47 which marked the 50th shuttle mission. On board are Mae Carol Jemison, the first African-American woman in space, Mamoru Mohri, the first Japanese citizen to fly in a US spaceship, and Mark Lee and Jan Davis, the first married couple in space.
