Adidas sold 1 million shoes made out of ocean plastic last year, CEO Kasper Rorsted told CNBC on Wednesday.

The German sportswear giant launched last year three new versions of its UltraBoost shoe made out of plastic found in the ocean.

UltraBoost teamed up with environmental initiative Parley for the Oceans to create the shoe. At the time, Adidas said it it wanted to create a million pairs of the UltraBoost shoes. Each pair of shoes reuses 11 plastic bottles.

UltraBoos鞋是和环境公益组织Parley for the Oceans一起合作。

adidas has already overtaken Jordan as the second-best selling sports brand in the U.S. last year, and the momentum hasn't stopped, as the German sportswear label announced fourth quarter earnings that showed 31 percent growth in North America to cap off 2017.

Despite the fact she plays the lead role in Netflix’s ‘The Crown’, it has emerged that Claire Foy was paid less for her work on the drama than co-star Matt Smith. The actress played a young Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons while, Matt played her husband, Prince Philip.

Variety was the first outlet to report on the revelation that Matt was paid more, writing:“Asked whether Foy was paid the same as Smith, the producers acknowledged that he did make more due to his ‘Doctor Who’ fame, but that they would rectify that for the future.”

Series three of ‘The Crown’ will jump forward to the mid-1970s and the producers are recasting the main roles to accommodate for the leap - meaning Claire’s time on the show has already come to an end. Olivia Colman is already confirmed to be taking over as the monarch, but Netflix is yet to announce who will play the older Prince Philip.

Miami is Florida’s second largest city in the United States, located in the Florida Peninsula in Biscayne bay.

Miami is an international metropolis, it's the melting pot of culture.

Miami experienced an amazing development before the Second World War. Thousands of people emigrated from the north of the United States to Miami. The uninhabited area was from henceforth a tall building.

Miami used to be called the "waiting room of God". Until today, if you ask people who have never been to Miami, they will tell you a vague city full of retirement apartments and swimming pools.

Because of the warm climate, it is one of the most habited cities of American retirees, so it is called a waiting room waiting for the call of God. Now Miami is a paradise for old people and fashion designers, Bikini Bathing models and Cuban immigrants.

Most visitors come to Miami for a visit to Miami Beach, and most of the visitors from Miami are dedicated to Miami Beach. Miami Beach is located in Miami City, East about four miles, the city is built on a sandbar across the bay to Bethesda, the dike is also known locally as the sand dam one billion dollars. The street system is based on the north and South and the East and the west to be replaced by the number.

On the island of Beishu, the most famous tourist resort is the "Miami Seaquarium". The marine theme park, built in 1955, is the five ton killer whale Lolita and the dolphin Flipper. In the 60 years, the American TV series, Flipper, was photographed all over the place, and the beautiful dolphin Flipper in the play was still unforgettable.

Although the original Flipper had already died, the park continued to approve the name of the later acting dolphins to increase the appeal. Many was only ten years old, with parents to see Seaquarium Flipper young people, although today is the birthday man, but still with his grandson to support, no less enthusiasm.

By:Hadi Eldebek

I come from a family of five brothers, all scientists and engineers. A few years ago, I sent them the following email: "Dear brothers, I hope this message finds you well. I am emailing to let you know that I'm dropping out of my master's program in engineering to pursue a career as a full-time musician. All that I ask from you is not to worry about me."

Brother number one replied. He was encouraging but a bit skeptical. He said, "I wish you the best of luck. You're going to need it."

Brother number two was a little bit more skeptical. He said, "Don't do it! This will be the worst mistake of your life. Find a real career."

Well, the rest of my brothers were so enthusiastic about my decision, they didn't even respond.

I know that the skepticism coming from my brothers is out of care and concern for me. They were worried. They thought it would be difficult to make it as an artist, that it will be a challenge. And you know what? They were right. It is such a challenge to be a full-time artist.

I have so many friends who need to have a second job as a plan B in order to pay for the bills, except that plan B sometimes becomes their plan A. And it's not just my friends and I who experience this.

The US Census Bureau states that only 10 percent of art school graduates end up working as full-time artists. The other 90 percent, they change careers, they work in marketing, sales, education and other fields.

I read an article in the "Huffington Post" saying that four years ago, the European Union began the world's largest ever arts funding initiative. Creative Europe will give 2.4 billion dollars to over 300,000 artists.

In contrast, the US budget for our National Endowment for the Arts, the largest single funder for the arts across the United States, is merely 146 million dollars.

We all know that the arts is way more than just an economic value. The arts brings meaning to life. It's the spirit of our culture. It brings people together and it supports creativity and social cohesion.

I believe the system is flawed and far from being fair, and I want to help change that. I want to live in a society where artists are more valued and have more cultural and financial support so they can focus on creating arts instead of being forced to take corporate jobs they'd rather not have.

In a few years, I plan to send my brothers the following email: "Dear brothers, I hope this message finds you well. I am emailing to let you know that I am doing great and so are hundreds of thousands of artists who are being valued more culturally and financially and getting enough funding to focus on their crafts and create more art. I appreciate all of your support. Couldn't have done it without you."
